WHO IS CPF?
The Cafédirect Producers' Foundation (CPF) has been established to represent and support smallholder tea, coffee and cocoa farmers and their organisations located across East Africa, Latin America and Asia. We currently work with ~40 smallholder organizations across 14 countries, reaching over 250,000 farmers.
CPF's work builds on the long-term investment of the social enterprise Cafédirect plc in its smallholder partners. Since 1995, Cafédirect plc has re-invested company profits into activities that strengthen the capacity of its smallholder partners.
In 2009, CPF was created to encourage smallholders to take leadership in developing and undertaking these activities. We are now registered as a UK charity and have a Board of Directors who represent the smallholder tea, coffee and cocoa farmers that we work with.
